Can I open capsules?

Inserted capsules (HPMC and / or gelatin) can be partially opened. However, this should only be done if it is not otherwise possible to take the capsules. This is not recommended for products that contain sulfur-containing compounds, e.g. B group vitamins. These vitamins have an extremely intense smell and sometimes taste (z.B. Arktis Vita B, Arktis Arktiamin).

Dissolving of soft gelatin- or soft gel capsules (z.B. Arktis Omega 3) is not possible in water due to the oil-containing ingredients. This also applies to many ingredients that are used in our preparations. Some of these are insoluble in water.

How do the bacteria survive the stomach passage?

Quite simply: size and class. The high concentration of at least 2x 10E9 colony-forming units ensures that sufficient reproductive cultures survive the gastric passage undamaged and arrive in the intestine. In addition, these are already active in water due to the activation phase and are therefore “more robust”.

One approach could be that a disease-causing bacterium does not appear in such a high concentration, but nevertheless enough germs sometimes survive the gastric passage and make us sick.

What is the best way to store the products?

The products are ideally stored in their original packaging. The products should always be kept protected from moisture, increased room temperature, high humidity and sunlight.

If, for the sake of simplicity, you pour the products into a capsule box, then please no more than a weekly ration. Even better: refill every day.

Why are there yellow / brown dots in the powder in the Arktibiotic select and premium?

The small dots in the white powder are simply vitamin D it contains. It is characteristic of our bacterial preparations.

Depending on the batch, the color varies from yellow to red-brownish.

How and from what is vitamin D3 obtained in VITD3?

Vitamin D3 is naturally obtained from lanolin (wool wax), which is obtained as a by-product when shearing the sheep. No harm is done to the animal here and the raw material is therefore suitable for most vegetarians. 7-Dihydrocholesterol is extracted from the natural source lanolin and converted into cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) using ultraviolet light. The end product is cleaned and checked for contamination by independent, external laboratories. For Vita D3 liquid (contains 600 IU vitamin D3 / drop), the high-quality argan oil and a proportion of rapeseed oil (medium-chain triglycerides) are used as carriers.

The powder does not dissolve completely. Is that bad?

No, it’s not bad that the powder doesn’t dissolve completely. The insoluble microcrystalline cellulose contained in the product may leave slight sediment in the glass.
